Behind The Lens

Location

We have the great fortune to live in a senior apartment building in the country outside New Holland, Pennsylvania. This picture was taken outside our living room window. The window faces southeast, providing us with some spectacular sunsets.

Time

This picture was taken early evening around 5 pm.

Lighting

No special lighting was involved. All the lighting was provided by the time of day and the sun itself.

Equipment

Believe it or not, this picture was captured with my Galaxy S10e smartphone.

Inspiration

As previously mentioned, we can get some absolutely stunning sunsets outside our living room window. On this particular evening, the sunset was stunning and radiant....allowing the capture of the rays coming through the window.

Editing

I use Photoshop whenever I do any kind of post-processing. In this particular photo, I made some minor adjustments to the gamma and offset corrections. I also bumped up the vibrance settings.

In my camera bag

Normally I use my Canon EOS Rebel T7, but the Galaxy S10e was close at hand.

Feedback

I always take multiple shots when possible, allowing me to choose the best of the best.
