Behind The Lens

Location

The shot was taken in a narrow and, off summer season, very quiet alley in old town of my hometown. Greens that used as a scene are actually plants from, now closed, restaurant garden that i noticed while taking a new year's walk around my hometown.

Time

Time was around New Year's afternoon during daytime.

Lighting

Lighting was natural. Gloomy day and lack of sunshine in combination with 50mm lens made great photography environment.

Equipment

This was shot with Canon EOS 20D, my companion, of few months now, that i mostly use for photo walks and Canon's 50mm F/1.8 lens.

Inspiration

Inspiration is quite obvious. New Year, new day, time turner as a tool with purpose of its own. New chances to grow, new chances to learn... and of course never ending love for Harry Potter.

Editing

Post-processing that occurred on this photo is my standard process of using curves to add contrast and adjust light, using other adjustments to give dimension and adjusting colors to make greens darker and accenting other colors.

In my camera bag

My camera bag contents vary depending on what I use camera for... When it's just a random walk with open potential to capture what i find inspiring or interesting along the way, I carry Canon EOS 20D with kit lens (Canon 18-55mm) and 50mm 1.8 lens.

Feedback

Observe your surroundings, even the smallest piece of space can be fit for a good scene.
