This photo was taken near Hertford Castle in Hertford.Time
A friend and I had agreed to meet up to take some photos ... of anything. He lived in Hertford, so I went to his house and we ventured out early one Sunday morning. 7am, I guess this pic would have been taken around 8:30 ish.Lighting
It was early Sunday morning, but quite bright. No sun though.Equipment
Pentax K20D, 70-300mm lens, Handheld.Inspiration
I was originally photographing ducks (mallards to be specific), the willow tree just caught my eye. In my mind it has a ballerina "shape" to it, and I loved the way it was framed by the tree in the foreground. I hadn't really noticed how green it all was until I was home looking back through the shots I had taken that morning.Editing
Just a little cropping, that is all.In my camera bag
50mm prime. 30-85mm, zoom, 75-300mm zoom. Tripod hanging on the outside, monopod sometimes.Feedback
Walk around and keep your eyes open - it's as simple as that. It won't always work but sometimes you'll get an awesome pic.
