This photo was taken next to the Fjærland tunnel in Vestland county, Norway. Last day of October 2020-Time
I started my drive from Flåm in the morning heading north the main road..When arriving Fjærland after a couple of hours I first took a picture along the water before heading to a glacier nearby. Unfortunately there was very foggy by the glacier and good pictures were out of the question. Luckily I remembered I could stop on the other side of the mountain and there it was captured right before noon.Lighting
I wanted to show off some of the wilderness in the Norwegian nature, but snow and ice can be hard to get right - and shooting mid noon doesn't really help. Get the f-stop right without blowing the highlights off the ground is a must.Equipment

I really wanted to show this glacier up in the mountains. As I couldn't shoot it from the side I wanted I had to get out of the valley and fog to more bright sky. I love the mix of nature as here with autumn woods, snow and ice and blue sky. I really loved the cloud on the peak ..It made the picture!Editing
As I shoot in raw I've used Adobe camera raw. Normally this is a quick fix: Highlights down, shadows up, a bit of clarity maybe dehaze and mask sharpening. In this picture I've also adjusted white- and black point because of the ice/snow. In PS I only added a bit of contrast using the curvesIn my camera bag
It really depends what I'm doing. I've got my Leica SL with the Vario-Elmarit 24-90 ASPH. It's a wonderful camera but a bit heavy carrying around. If I go for a walk or want to take typical street shots I bring my Leica M9.. I've got an Elmarit 90mm, a Summicrom 50mm and a Canon 35mm ltm for the M9.. It's very light and perfect for street shots. Normally I choose just one lens and challenge my creativity. When being really creative I bring my Bronca ETRS 120mm medium frame film camera..Really fun and challenging shooting old style.Feedback
You dont have to go to the most spectacular places in the world to shoot good photos. Look around you and you find germs everywhere. The most important is to head out shooting. Be aware of time of day, lights and compensate if you shoot snow/ice/bright frames
