It was one of those rare rainy days in California when I had to choose between staying home sipping on coffee looking at the drops of rain hitting my kitchen window or taking my camera for walk risking getting both of us wet.. the latter idea prevailed and therefore I can share now this lovely image with you :)

Location
The photo was taken at around 5 pm on my rainy walk to visit a friend in Belmont Shore California. A few mile stretch between Long Beach downtown and Belmont Shore California offers breathtaking views at the coast and the port area.Time
Photo was taken approximately 5 pm just before the sunset and when the rain seemed to ease a bit enough for me to pull out the camera without worrying of getting it wetLighting
The over cast and low position of the sun finding its way through the formation of clouds offered spectacular lighting atmosphere stoping many pedestrians to take the photo.Equipment
Typically I have on me Nikon dslr this time around and because of much longer walking I have planned for I took my Panasonic GH4 with a standard zoom kit lens 14-42mm.Inspiration
I was mesmerized by the sheer beauty of the lighting and scenery and the people shown in the photo simply completed the composition adding necessary element I was quick enough to grab the beautiful moment.Editing
Just some fine tuning of low and highlights and slight adjustments of color intensity very minimal and almost irrelevant. In my camera bag
Typically I carry Nikon D3s with 24-70 2.8 and for longer walks I take with me Nikon D500 with 16-80mm and occasionally as in this case Panasonic GH4 which often serves as video camera.Feedback
Since there is absolutely no rule to follow to achieve great art and there is no place or location that will in any way help better or worse photos my only suggestion is go out and take with you what ever camera you currently have and practice seeing and observing with heart at first great pictures will develop in the best time some of them you already took just did not see them yet :)
