Photo captured during the North Shore Birding Festival December 2020. The Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive is an 11-mile drive located on the northeast corner of Lake Apopka in Orange County and Lake County, Florida. Early morning and late afternoon are the times of day you are most likely to find wildlife out and about.
The wildlife drive was open late for our group of 4 and the sunset did not disappoint. The numerous cars were absent so we could hear the birds and insects clearly. The clouds created interesting patterns and colors. Dusk brought on a beautiful Blue Hour. It was a magical night to be with nature.
