Location
I took this photo while on tour in the Northern Territory, Australia.Time
I took this photo around 4 PM while walking around the Northern Territory.Lighting
Lighting wasn't too bad, slightly sunny/overcastEquipment
I had my Canon 1DX with me with a 24-105mm 4.0 lens, handheld, no tripod.Inspiration
I'm just attracted to the sparsity of the trees with the bright red clay background; I just photograph scenery, landscapes, architecture, people, that make me look twice and want to compose a photograph.Editing
I did a little post-processing with exposure and vignetting but that's about it.In my camera bag
I usually go out with a Lowepro bag Protactic 450 or Peak Design backpack or daypack, my Canons, 1DX or 5D Mark IV, 24-105mm, 70-200mm, and 17-40mm. Gitzo carbon fiber tripod or my new Peak Design carbon fiber travel tripod.Feedback
I don't think you can really tell someone what to look for when taking photographs. As most photographers already know, you take or create photographs of what speaks to you in the moment or what makes you feel something at the time. What moves you or calls your attention could mean nothing to someone else; photography, in my opinion, is a very personal hobby or profession.
