Behind The Lens

Location

Gunnison, Colorado

Time

I think it was midday, but no later than 2:00PM

Lighting

Only natural lighting was necessary and no extra lighting was used.

Equipment

Nikon D700 with a 70-210mm lens, handheld.

Inspiration

I usually just walk around and try to imagine what something wound look like through my viewfinder while composing the photo in different orientations. This tree just called out to me and I just new it would be B&W or sepia tone photo. One of those photos that turned out just like I imagined it would.

Editing

Sepia tone was the only thing I added to the photo.

In my camera bag

I’ve switched from Nikon to Canon since I took this photo so I normally have my D5 Mark IV or my 1DX or both, 24-105mm, 70-200mm, 17-40mm, 50mm, Peak Design tripod, and my bags vary from Domke, Peak Design, and Lowepro Protactic 450

Feedback

Like most photographers, probably, my eye usually drives what I’m going to photograph, but that’s just me.
