Location
This was taken at metro exit Wilhelminapier in Rotterdam. A very photogenetic place and easy to overlook if you come to Rotterdam to take photo's of the skyline and buildings athe the Wilhelmina pier.Time
It was taken during day time. I had rained hard that day and some of the water leaked into the tunnel and created a big shallow puddle.Lighting
I took the photo with the available light and let my phone camera decide on the best settings. I was in a hurry for an appointmentand had not much time to play with the ettings. I trusted om my device for the right settings.Equipment
The shot was taken with my phone a Huawei P20, as this was the only camera I had with me and I did not want to miss the opportunityInspiration
Because the puddle was underground and there was no wind it was a perfect mirror. There was a narrow passage so ideal to lead the pedestrians to the right place in the frame. On my knees with my camera just above the water I got the best effect.Editing
Not much, converted to black and white. Added some conrast and sharpened the image a bit.In my camera bag
I normally use a Sony A7m3 with a 17-28/f2.8 or 28-75/f2.8 Tamron lens combined with my tripod. I love to take long exposures during the blue hour.Feedback
The best camera is the one you have with you. Grab it when you see an opportunity and take your chance. It might or might not work. It is better to try to capture the shot than to go home with regrets. If you try, you might end up with a beauty.
