Behind The Lens

Location

I spent the day in Squamish, BC, Canada as I had a meeting in the area that day and had time either side of it to explore the area.

Time

I took this image around 11am in early June 2019. It was actually a very lovely day there, despite the dark clouds in the picture.

Lighting

Just natural light. Just a few dark clouds overhead I suppose that cast the shadow at the top of the mountain in the background.

Equipment

I just used my iPhone 7.

Inspiration

I came across this train track in Squamish while wondering back towards the entrance of the municipality. It’s not hidden at all, as cars drive over a section of it while coming and going. What I liked about it and wanted to capture of it was the physical distance of both the mountain in the background and the continuing train track further on, and behind, from where I took the picture.

Editing

I didn’t do any editing.

In my camera bag

I don’t have a professional camera or equipment. I’d like to one day and develop my skills. But I don’t have one at the moment.
