....but not off far enough! During our search for the hiking track into Wolfgang Peak (near Clermont, Queensland), we drove along this dirt track thinking it would lead us into the area. Hmm, imagine the disappointment when we discovered it was actually running parallel with the highway and no entrance was found.
The whole area is a series of volcanic plugs and was active millions of years ago, hence the rich dark volcanic soil.
