Behind The Lens

Location

At the National Aviary in Pittsburgh. It's a zoo for birds, with several rooms where the birds fly freely. It's one of my very favorite places to spend some time.

Time

Early afternoon

Lighting

Not really

Equipment

An old Sony HD avcho with a Sony E-mount 4.5-6.3 lens

Inspiration

I saw the two birds interacting and decided to try to get a clear shot

Editing

None, other than cropping

In my camera bag

At the time, I was using this Sony camera (I've since gotten a new camera after deciding that shooting moving subjects with a camera that has no eye hole leaves too much to chance) and the zoom lens. That's all; I like to keep it as light as possible. I'm strictly a hobby photographer and maybe if I ever get any training I'll get a bit more ambitious as far as gear.

Feedback

If you love birds and are ever in Pittsburgh, stop by the National Aviary. It's a gem.
