This photo was taken in my back yard. I found it unusual for the cactus to be flowering in December.i had been watching this bud for a few days and when it opened I took the photo about 11:00Time
I had been watching the but for a couple of days waiting for the flower to open. About 11:00 am seemed to be the perfect time to shoot this flower.Lighting
Around mid day is not the best for photography but the sun lit the area and didn’t interfere with the shot.Equipment
I used an iPhone 12 pro for the shot. Just playing with the phones camera to see what kind of results I could get.Inspiration
The beauty of nature always fascinates me. The many colors, brightness, shapes and have something as rough as a cactus produce such a delicate flower is awesome.Editing

Advise? Open your eyes, pay attention to your surroundings. Take shots of anything that catches your eye. Don’t limit yourself. Take the shot, digital is cheap, if you don’t like the result, delete it. Always be prepared to be surprised.
