Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture on a camping trip last October. We went to the outer banks in North Carolina for a nice long weekend escape.

Time

This is hands down my favorite sunset picture. I took this picture around 7 and I was so lucky because it was the only nice evening without thunderstorms.

Lighting

The lighting really speaks for itself, the orange hue from the sun really makes the picture come to life.

Equipment

My best friend the Canon Eos Rebel t6 with my kit lens captured this stunning picture.

Inspiration

The monotony of daily life can sometimes get in the way of your what's important. For me that's physical, emotional, and mental health. I know I personally don't always have the chance to escape and practice self-care, so I love to share my pictures with everyone. It's my hope that seeing my picture reminds the viewer to take a pause and appreciate the beautiful world we live in and there's more to life than stress and working.

Editing

The only post processing I did was adjust the white balance. There's no need to over-edit natural beauty.

In my camera bag

I normally carry my camera, tripod, lenses, and extra batteries. I like to travel somewhat light.

Feedback

I really didn't plan this picture out anymore than simply checking the weather. Which brings me to my first and only tip, check the weather and figure out where in the sky the sun will be setting. Use this to scout for the perfect location with plenty of open space so you can get the best angle.
