Behind The Lens

Location

I live with my parents for now, and there's a big mirror at the entrance of their hallway. I was walking past qith a flashlight one night, and realized that the reflections and shadows would make for a very interesting photo.

Time

Probably around 10 pm. My parents were off to bed a couple of hours before, and so the house was quiet.

Lighting

I had to play with where to point the flashlight at first. I didnt want it to look like I had flash on, or like a big burst of light on one side of the photo. I ended up holding it behind my water bottle! ????

Equipment

This was taken with my Samsung Galaxy S10, and I had a flashlight with me. No other equipment.

Inspiration

Other photos I had seen from different photographers that used mirrors. Mirrors are not the easiest to work with, I've found, but they do add interesting perspective when you get it the right shot.

Editing

No, not this time!

In my camera bag

I have a Nikon DS500 in my bag. I'm just beginning to use a "professional" looking camera, which means I'm going turtle slow with learning! ????
