Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at home, with a speedlight in a small softbox with a grid.

Time

Late afternoo, to avoid ambient light interfearing with my light setup.

Lighting

Typical setup for rimlighting with the light source slightly behind the subject.

Equipment

Nikon D610, 70-200 f2.8 sigma lens, phottix speedlight, a phottix octa softbox with a grid

Inspiration

I have always liked dark "rimlighty" portraits. I have done this before, and decided to try it again, with only the dog,. The challenge is to get the dog to "pose" for u ????

Editing

Lightroom edit, and Nik silver effex to b&w.

In my camera bag

The equipment in my bag will always vary from what I am going to photograph.

Feedback

Don't be afraid of try and fail, u never learn anything without trying it.
