Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken on some cliffs in northern Spain, in Asturias. It is a very steep and very beautiful coast

Time

It is one of my last photos before the sanitary confinement that we have. The photo is taken at sunset, just before the sun sets, so the grazing light illuminates the left side of the ground and the tip of the rock

Lighting

It is a typical sunset lighting with a warm light from the side that bathes the upper part of the image, while the lower part is in semi-darkness

Equipment

For this photograph I used a Sony A7RIII camera, Sony 16-35 F2.8 GM lens, Gitzo tripod, Acratech ball head and Kase magnetic filters.

Inspiration

Taking advantage of the fact that I had a few days off, I decided to travel to Asturias and I remembered a very nice photo that a friend took from that same place but at another time. I did a little research on where the place was located, where and at what time the sun set and it seemed to me that the ideal conditions were given to take the photo I had in mind

Editing

The processing that the photo has is done basically with luminosity masks

In my camera bag

The last thing I have in my backpack is the Sony A7RIII camera, Sony 16-35 F2.8 GM lens, Sony 24-105 F4 lens. Depending on where I go I also put a Sony 100-400 GM lens. Remote trigger, filters, cloths to clean lenses and batteries.

Feedback

If you have a place in mind I think the fundamental thing is planning and being lucky with inclement weather
