Sitting at the beach watching the sunset, watching how intense the sun changes its colour was breathtaking.

At late noon, the seagull slowly walked to the edge of the shoreline and just stood looking out to the waves. What a wonderful site

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the Hartebeespoort dam in South Africa. I'm a hobbiest photographer and absolutely love the outdoors.

Time

We where visiting this beautiful area and visited the zoo in the morning when this beautiful animal was lying and watching all who passed.

Lighting

I took a picture of his face. Focusing on his eyes and ears as he was not only playful but very attentive

This shot was taken with a Canon EOS 500D wide zoom lens
