This shot was taken on the first trip I ever went on with my camera. I had come here with the intention of photographing a waterfall, but I saw a cassowary instead. This encounter really inspired me to develop my photography skills and I think of it often. This encounter also led me to explore wildlife photography, rather than landscape photography which is what initially inspired me to become a photographer.
