This was a random rest area in the state of Tennessee, and as I walked down from the buildings back to the parked car I could not believe the view! As a trucker's daughter, I've always traveled the highways in quite the same manner as he still does.
Many often wonder how or why one picks the road to a 9-5 with a home at night. I don't. It's all about those who crave that adventure. It's not a job...it's a lifestyle. With ever changing terrain, skies, people, and places. Life can be like a highway and take you places you've never imagined.
My father, born and raised in Tennessee, so in that moment, in that place of his, I saw that view and I saw him. How proud I was in that moment and I knew I had to capture that. Here's to you, Dad!
