This photo was taken on a small island beach in the Maldives.

Lighting

The lighting was tricky. It was an overcast day and the sun was in and out. I had to wait for the perfect moment when the light was mostly diffused, still enough to cast shadows to give depth to the image.

Nikon D750, 24-70 mm f/2.8 Tamron with a Hoya ultra thin circular polarizer

Inspiration

The colour tones, the light, the set up and the drama.

Editing

No post-processing. Just adjusted the contrast by 10%.

Nikon D850, Nikon D750, Tamron 24-70 mm f/2.8; Tamron 70-200 mm f/2.8; Nikkor 50 mm f/1.8; Nikkor 105 mm macro f/2.8; Nikkor 70-300 mm; a couple of flashes, a few filters and a couple of tripods.
