Changpa are a pastoral nomadic community living in the Changthang Plateau in Ladakh and Tibet.
Those people are mainly refugees who fled China’s cultural revolution and Tibet and joined Ladakhi pastoralist who have live in the region for thousands of years.
They raise yak, sheep and cows and change their location following the season.
The place is extremely harsh to survive for the nomads, especially in winters.
The obstacles they face are the hard environment, climate change, lack of education, poor healthcare and economic instability.
