Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at Ricketts Glen State Park in Pennsylvania. I was hiking the falls trail which has several waterfalls. It was so beautiful!

Time

I remember this day as if it were yesterday. I woke up around 7am and headed out to go hiking. It was around 9am when I got to this waterfall. This was one of my favorite images of the day.

Lighting

I remember it was pretty cold this day and not particularly sunny. It's all just natural light.

Equipment

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30

Inspiration

I'm very passionate about nature. Just being outside in such a beautiful place is inspiring to me. I was so excited to be out seeing all these beautiful waterfalls, and I just had to capture what I was seeing. It was amazing!

Editing

I like to keep my photos the way I captured them. I did sharpen it a little and adjusted the lighting.

In my camera bag

Nikon N75 camera body, 28-80mm nikkor lens, 80-300mm nikkor lens, 50mm nikkor lens, Panasonic Lumix digital camera

Feedback

Just get out there and experiment with your camera and its settings. I feel like the best way to learn is to get out and take action. There's always room for growth and learning.
