Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was on an ominous road to a place locally known as Beauty Spot. Located near the top of Unaka Mountain in Unicoi County Tennessee.

Time

Though it appears to be near dark it was actually closer to noon.

Lighting

The natural light reflecting off of the fog at that moment was magical.

Equipment

I believe it was my trusty old Canon T3i.

Inspiration

How could I not? We were riding along up this mountain back road which suddenly turned foggy. I yelled, "stop" got out of the truck snapped two shots. Then got back in and we proceeded to our intended destination. Proving once again that it's not always about the destination, but what shows up along the way.

Editing

For this version ... yes, monochrome with color splash. The original is equally intriguing and one of my personal favorites.

In my camera bag

Seriously my camera, an extra battery, and 2 basic filter lenses. Oh, also I always have a plastic bag to protect my camera from rain or myself from the wet ground.

Feedback

Beauty is everywhere, it's all around us. But, If your eyes don't see it, or you can't feel it inside, then all of the expensive gear you can buy will not be much help.
