I took this photo in Slapewath which is near Guisbrough, along the Cleveland way footpath.Time
This is one of my favourite images, i was out for a walk and had to climb over a tree that had blown down over the footpath, whilst sat on top of the log i saw this scene. It was taken on Monday 2nd November at 10:03Lighting
The sun was alreay very low but was shining into the part of the woods where i was, the light was amazing and lit up all the lovely autumnal colours in the trees and bushes.Equipment
I actually took this photo on my phone, (Google Pixel 3A) phone camera settings: f 1.8, 1/634, iso 56, no other equipment was usedInspiration
I was out walking when i had to climb over a tree that had fallen in recent strong winds, whilst sat on top of this tree this scene was at the other side waiting for me. With the recent winds there was a fresh layer of leaves on the ground that hadnt been disturbed so left a carpet like feel to it.Editing
I usually do a lot of editing in the photoshop lightroom app, but with this been on my phone i used the snapseed app and just lightnened up the image sighlty so all the scene would stand outIn my camera bag
I usually carry a canon 100D with kit lens, sigma zom lens 70-300. Gobe ND filter - variable and a 10 stop. travel tripod made by boots ( ebay purchase) Intervolometer i also carry a glass lens ball just for a bit of fun.Feedback
You never know what is aorund the corner, this was a complete suprise for me, i didnt even have my camera so the image was taken on my phone. I now carry my camera everywhere i go incase i stumble into something similar. My advice to others would be to look ahead at whats in front of you i was very lucky as no one had walked across it before me.
