Location
The photograph was take in my home studio.Time
The image was taken late in the afternoon, this ensures the home studio is in near darkness and long exposures are a requirement.Lighting
Due to the long exposure time, light is provided by painting the light on the subject matter with a small flashlight.Equipment
The shot was taken with an Olympus EM1 mk2 coupled to a 12 - 40, f2.8 pro lens all supported by a manfrotto tripod.Inspiration
I have admired still life workers for many years but have not had the opportunity to be creative until the home studio was set up in a new large shed in the garden.Editing
Very little post processing took place a small crop and an adjustment in the contrast. In my camera bag
I normally use Nikon and Olympus kit but I am gradually moving totally to Olympus, the build quality and superb optics along with the lightness of the kit helps when out walking in the local mountains.Feedback
Keep practicing and persevering with different techniques until it all comes together.
