Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on labor day weekend in Alaska, on the scenic route from Talkeetna to Denali National Park.

Time

This is one of my first trips with my DSLR camera and Sigma lens. I still remember we were running late to reach the Denali Bus tour but still couldn't help stopping at various places on the highway to take lovely shots.

Lighting

We were driving north for the Denali national park bus tour and the light seemed perfect. Not too much sunshine and just enough light to capture both, the landscape and the dramatic skies.

Equipment

I used Nikon D3100 Camera with Sigma 18mm-240mm zoom lens. Did not need any extra lighting or equipment. Just needed to keep waiting on the way and snapping away pictures of the marvelous surrounding.

Inspiration

The dramatic skies and a true hope to capture various fall colors inspired me to take this picture. But even though with less fall colors I like this picture picture the best among all my Alaska trips ever.

Editing

I used google photos to sharpen the picture a bit and brighten up shadows a bit.

In my camera bag

I normally have 1. A camera Nikon D7500 2. A Wide angle lens Sigma 18-35 mm 3. Sigma zoom lens 18-240mm 4. An extra battery and extra SD card.

Feedback

Keep taking photos. No matter ho many duplicates and how many stops. Patience is the key. Even though timing is not right, there is something in the scene to squeeze out our creativity.
