Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico. It was a great trip with wonderful experiences and lovely landscapes. The photo was taken in an shaded patio restaurant next to San Felipe beachfront.

Time

We were having our last day breakfast before we started to go back to drive towards LA from San Felipe. I was not actively taking pictures when I saw this cat wandering around the small open patio restaurant. There weren't any other customers, probably our group was the only one living around in that season.

Lighting

Morning light was perfect. Not too bright not too dark. There was no external light needed since we were in a shaded patio and there was ample light on the beach.

Equipment

A simple Nikon D7500 camera with Sigma 18-250mm zoom lens.

Inspiration

Apparently the cat was also ready to have breakfast, however did maintain distance. She did pose a few times, one of which I was able to capture. :)

Editing

Just did simple brightness and color adjustments in google photos.

In my camera bag

Take lots of pictures. We are not short of memory now only short of capturing memories.

Feedback

Try to take pictures in auto focus and auto settings most of the times. However especially taking pictures of animals always use the sports settings. Animals need to move :)
