Behind The Lens
Location
It was taken in a village at the outskirt of my town Durgapur, West Bengal, India.Time
As far as I remember it was a winter morning. I went for seeing the villages (not for specific photography planning) around in the very early morning with my old friend Sony DSC-H50 prosumer camera, as usual. My Exif data tells me that it was taken on 25.12.2011 at 7.39 am.Lighting
Eary morning's soft modelling light of the sun on the face of the playing child attract me to press the shutter. They were playing hide and seek behind jute-scale kept for drying.Equipment
Except for my Sony DSC-H50 prosumer camera, nothing was used - no special lens, no tripod, no flash.Inspiration
The modelling light of the sun and the composition of the girl in the slit of jute scales attracts me to capture the shot. I waited for a few minutes to get the correct expression without giving any instruction to the kids.Editing
I did some basic post-processing, like exposure correction, white balance correction, level adjustment and colour correction. In my camera bag
Normally I use Nikon D750 with 70-300mm lens. But at that time I don't have that camera with me.Feedback
I often tell that composition is the key to any successful photograph. It can make or break an image. We can break the rule and go creative if the master the rules of composition. Not only the rules, but we also have to know elements of composition and how to organise those elements in our photo.
