Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Spring Lake, NJ. I was hanging out on the beach with a friend and all the surfers looked like they were having a blast - I had to capture it.

Time

This was mid-afternoon - perfect waves.

Lighting

The sun was shining bright that day - and not a cloud in the sky.

Equipment

I used my Canon 7D with my Tamron 18-400mm. The image was taken at 1/1250, f6.3, iso 100

Inspiration

Just wanted to catch the action.

Editing

I can’t remember exactly what I did with this image - probably a little color correcting.

In my camera bag

I’ve got my 7D and my Tamron 18-400 as my workhorse. I’ve also got my Sigma 105 for closeups, my Canon 10-18 wide angle and my nifty fifty! Along with an assortment of ND filters.

Feedback

Just get out there and shoot
