Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Lake Topanemus in Freehold, NJ. I headed out in early October to see if the leaves had started changing.

Time

I went out about 5 pm on a Saturday, after running errands all day. It was so great to get out and enjoy some nature!

Lighting

I really just wanted to showcase the beauty of the trees reflecting in the lake. I tried to capture it exactly as I saw it in the evening, just before sunset.

Equipment

This was shot on my Canon 7D, using my Tamron 18-400 mm lens.

Inspiration

I love the beauty of trees, reflected in the stillness of the lake

Editing

I converted from raw and touched up the brightness just a tad.

In my camera bag

I’ve got my trusty Canon 7D, usually paired with my Tamron 18-400. I’ve also got a Sigma 105 for closeups, my nifty 50 and just added a Canon 28 mm. Along with various filters, of course.

Feedback

Head out to a beautiful spot and start shouting.
