This shot was a bit of a therapy shot for me. I'm dealing with some heartbreak right now, and when I feel that way, I try to express myself through photography.
This shot was inspired by a t-shirt from Bourbon Street in New Orleans. I loved the image of a low-key trumpet on a field of black. The melancholy and loneliness of the image were palpable, and I hope I was able to communicate those feelings through my photo.
