Location
This photo was taken on a campground beach in Traverse City, MI.Time
It was around 3:30pm when I came out of the water and laid on the beach to soak in the sun.Lighting
I used the natural light of the Sun.Equipment
This was shot with my Samsung Galaxy S9. I did not use anything else.Inspiration
I was at the beach and was looking around. I realized that I was the only one there. The weight of depression, that has been common in a lot of people this year, started to weigh on me. As I was looking through my self photos from last year, I notice that my eyes were different on this day. More sad. I knew that I needed to document that moment of what isolation can do to even the happiest of people.Editing
The only thing I did was turn on a black and white filter set at 95% saturation. In my camera bag
I always have my phone withe for random pictures but when I feel I will definitely have photo opportunities, I have a Cannon Rebel T3i with the original starter lenses. I use a UV filter and shoot RAW with Manual functions.Feedback
You can't fake authentic emotions. The camera can tell and will call it out.
