This shotv was completely spur of the moment. I was out for a walk with my mums dog on the moors when this little fella flew down and started shouting at me. So i crouched down to be closer to the ground and while i held a very interested dog away with one hand i clicked away with the other. When i checked the pictures later that day i was very pleasantly surprised to have caught this shot.Editing

Some say it is very difficult to catch a photo of a grouse. i say go up to the dales in early september with a dog and wait for one to attack you
