Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken with available light in a small shop in Santa Fe NM, I love shooting fast film, this one was taken with Delta 3200 loaded in a Leica M5.

Time

This was taken as the shop first opened in the morning, I was thrilled when the owner agreed to leave the man lights in the shop off long enough for me to get a shot of the shop with just the "For Sale" light on

Lighting

It's always a challenge when shooting film in low light, The satisfaction comes when you get an image that is not blurry from using a slow shutter speed and has sufficient depth of field without losing the feel of the space

Equipment

This was shot with a Summicron 50mm on a leica M5, I was shooting Ilford Delta 3200 @3200

Inspiration

I was walking by the shop as it opened and saw the light go on and had to get the shot

Editing

There is no post processing other than the scan from the negative

In my camera bag

I don't carry a bag, the gear I use is whatever hangs around my neck at the time

Feedback

Keep your eyes open and always scan the area around you. Look for the unusual and don't be adverse to seeing things in a different way
