I found this handsome guy enjoying the new pond we set up at our new home over the summer. I am new to photography but the abundance of frogs was nothing short of inspirational!Time
This was taken in the early evening when things had calmed down around the property and the frogs were coming out to eat. They were noisy and rambunctious creatures and I loved spending my summer with them.Lighting
The early evening light was key to getting the best shot that had all the details and colors. It also ensured me a reflection of the frogs eye rather than everything else that surrounds the pond. Not all the frogs that visit are so colorful so it was really great timing!Equipment
I actually used my iPhone XR and that was it. Like I said earlier, I’m new to photography and it started out as me wanting to take shots to show people what I see when I look at things but once I started I couldn’t stop! I did upgrade to the iPhone 11 Pro but hope to invest in some more advanced equipment one day but for now we take what we get!Inspiration
Nature as a whole has me inspired but I just love the frogs and they were a lot of fun to shoot! They are all so different and I swear they pose sometimes and I just eat it up!Editing
I did enhance the photo in my Lightroom but I didn’t do any healing or photoshopping. In my camera bag
I usually just have my phone in my purse or my pocket!Feedback
Be patient and move quick! The frogs can be incredibly boring at times but they can also do some incredible things but they do not give warning before they are about to move!
