Beautiful Soul

Hello beautiful soul,
Hidden away beneath the brush
You seem to be content down there
In no hurry, in no rush

As you're breath comes and goes in a steady hum
You seem so peaceful, as you sleep
While my heart beats like a drum.

As you wake, your eyes look out at me.
I don't dare to make a sound.
In your eyes I see your soul, so wild and so free.

In you a great beauty I have found.
A soul like yours will not be held captive...
Will not be tamed, will not be bound... Oh beautiful soul, I thank you.
Your time was valuable, like gold.
You knew the storm was coming the whole time.
I did not understand then, but now... I do. *I saw my first Mountain Lion in person! Not only that I had the honor of filming it! I didn't get any still images so this is just a screenshot from some of the footage. It was so well hidden in these bushes that at one point I went to change the memory card in the camera, looked away for a minute and totally lost it in the brush then had to find it again! 😂 Definitely one of the coolest things I've done in a while!
