I took this photo while on an early morning before the sunrise hike up Big Cottonwood Canyon by Brighton Ski Resort overlooking Silver Lake in Utah.Time
One early morning I just couldn't sleep so I decided to get into my vehicle and go for a drive. I found myself a the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon at Brighton Ski Resort Utah. I'd never noticed it before and I'd been up there many ski seasons. But never during the Spring after the snow had melted, but there was a Ranger Station next to a trailhead, soi grabbed my camera and started off on a hike and what I found was purely wonderful, I took so many photos and had a blast. I'd never taken low light photos before, but the photos I captured were amazing. I took this photo at 05:34AM 26 minutes before sunrise.Lighting
The lighting was just before sunrise no hardly any shadows but had to make sure the exposure and shutter speeds were adjusted to capture the momentEquipment
Shot using a Sony A7II with a standard zoom lense FE 28-70 mm F3.5-5.6 OSS no other equipment was used.Inspiration
I was taking lots of photo as I was hiking around this. And when I came to this spot it was just beautiful and had to capture the moment.Editing
Yes I shoot most my photos in Raw and I use Adobe Light room to process and adjust the colors and lighting. In my camera bag
Well since fairly new to using more than just a point and shot camera or my iPhone I am now always carting my Sony A7II with a standard zoom lense FE 28-70 mm F3.5-5.6 OSS and a prime E 50 mm F1.8 OSS and a couple extra batteries as I tend to take lots and lots of photos. Unfortunately my Sony Camera and ALL of my camera equipment including every SD Card that I used while taking all my photos. Luckily though, I did have a copy of all my photos on my computer except for just a photo sessions. So currently kinda bummed I've tried going back to taking photos with IPhone just doesn't do it for me. So if someone has a lead on fairly newish\ slightly used camera and equipment please message me through ViewbugFeedback
Just be aware of your surroundings. I never know exactly when or where I'll be when a perfect opportunity comes up to take a great photo. I just always plan to take my camera with me and just take photos.
