Location
This sequence was taken on the Shoalhaven River just out of Nowra on the NSW south coast.Time
The shoot was done mid afternoon as you can tell by the angle of the Shadows.Lighting
Usually the best time of day to achieve a deeper saturation of colors is just after sunrise or just prior to sundown. This also helps to give a warmer tone to the image considering there is a lot of blues & greens(cooler colors) when shooting wakeboarding. This sequence was more towards the middle of the day and was more about the action, the technicality of the move and lighting on the board and clothing for the riders sponsors.Equipment
Canon EOS1N with Velvia transparency film shot at ISO 32 and pushed 1 stop in processing (Old school film snapping)Inspiration
I was shooting professional wake boarders for a magazine and a few of their sponsorsEditing
Rating Fuji Velvia at ISO 32 and pushing it a stop. Velvia was the most beautiful film ever made for color saturation of greens and blues whereas Kodak Kodachrome was wonderful for reds and yellowsIn my camera bag

Practice makes perfect. Luckily digital is much cheaper to learn on than film!
