Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Boston on the waterfront. My boyfriend and I went to see the sunrise and happened to catch it right as it was coming up.

Time

This was sunrise about 5:30 am. We had been up all night just enjoying the sights and sounds of the city.

Lighting

When we first started walking to the piers it was still fairly dark out but by the time we made it down there it was just glowing a beautiful orange color throughout the entire area. It was absolutely stunning.

Equipment

Believe it or not this photo was taken simply with my iPhone 7 no equipment no filter. Just raw sunrise.

Inspiration

I couldn’t help but take a photo. The way the water looked, the perfect colors of the sky and sun, and the shadows of the boats just looked so picturesque.

Editing

No I just took the picture from my phone and saved it. I knew when I took it that it was a special picture.

In my camera bag

I just bring my phone. I’ve always wanted a nice camera but haven’t been able to afford one.

Feedback

Just wait. Watch the sunrise multiple times if that’s what it takes. Wait for the light to tell you when it’s the perfect time. You will know, you will see it, you will almost feel it.
