Long exposure at Imperial beach in San Diego/ CA
See all

Behind The Lens

Location

The photo Was taken at the Imperial Beach in San Diego. I came early to catch a good Light.

Time

Early in in morning, I guess at 7 am. Sun was up but behind some buildings, so it was almost perfect.

Lighting

My intension was, to make a long exposure from that sea bridge, with a smooth surface from the ocean. The play of light and shadow was perfect for a black and white development.

Equipment

I use the Sony A7iii with a Sigma lence, 16mm, 1.4. A filter for long exposure from Rollei as rectangular filter ND 64 and ND8 together. Of course a tripod from Rollei as well.

Inspiration

One day before I've been there to look for a good location, as I saw this sea bridge, I fell instantly in love with it.

Editing

Yes, I did the normal processing to get a b&w photo from the raw file.

In my camera bag

I have always a Sigma 16mm, a Tamron 28- 75mm and a Sony 70- 200mm f4 in my backbag.

Feedback

Just go out and See the world around you. Everyone will find a beautiful place that's worth to catch it in a Photograph.
