Blistering winds whipping sand through the day at jockey ridge. With a steady 30-40mph with gusts up to 50 mph giving this sweet extra long exposure look. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to clean up all the sand from this visit. With all that, I have never seen this place look so good with such intricate details in the sand everywhere you look and the only footprints I saw were my own (which disappeared in minutes).

While out shooting the Milky Way at Oak Island, NC the clouds came and found myself moving under the hurricane crippled pier.

The clouds opened up for only a couple minutes to be able to get this shot off while I found this driftwood and cool patterns in the sand.

Someone just had to stop and get a photo of this. Taken at Jennette's Pier in Nags Head - Outer Banks (NC) during sunrise.
