A pride of 2 or 3 lionesses, a sub adult male and a handful of cubs had partially devoured an Oryx earlier that morning.  While the rest of the pride slept off the feast under the shade of some trees.  The carcass was left out in the open and was attracting the attention of a few jackals.  This one lioness hauled the carcass over a fair distance to where her cubs were resting up.  It was quite a battle in the heat and the oryx’s horns putting on the brakes (you can see the sand being churned up in the bottom left of the shot).
