Surrender to the wilds of your unknown

There are two ways to enhance color, top it up with layer after layer or darken the patches around to create drama. So today as I sat down to paint after years...midway through I realized I have zero patience for following a technique right now, however still felt the joy to express the mess with colors. It took me all the way back to my childhood when the strokes were more of pouring or splashing paint, not staying cautious of where the canvas ends or of spilling it all over. Created no masterpiece but enjoyed the collision of hues...clearly the artistic side of me is not in alignment but the creativity can find rest in the colors going wild.
