Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was clicked in the summers of 2016, in the historic town of Laytonsville - Maryland.

Time

clearly remember after enjoying a great lunch rather late, was strolling in the early evening hours of around 4:00pm while exploring this interesting little town.

Lighting

3:00 to 5:00 pm ideal time for outdoor photography, when the sun just throws a beautiful golden stream highlighting all the details perfectly. Its any photographer's perfect moment.

Equipment

As it wasnt a planned trip i did not have my lenses and my Canon DSLR but when there is a will there is a way. This was shot on a sony cyber shot, manual settings

Inspiration

just the elegance of the shades of browns, greys and white. nature just wows you in any given moment and I as a photographer try to capture the awe of any such moments that stay with me.

Editing

Yes, any outdoor landscape photography require some touch ups and so is the case in this one too as the whites and the highlights need to be balanced to get the focus on the right details. Photoshop and Lightroom regular features were used to get the finished look.

In my camera bag

some prime lenses and tripod

Feedback

Capture with your heart, as the eyes see what is visible but the heart paints emotions and characteristics of the scene. For outdoor photography sunrise and sunsets are picture perfect moments and then a little time after.
