Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in the water park, Zaragoza Spain. I am a self taught photographer so every shoot is pretty much a new lesson for me and i also have my model share their ideas with me so that they feel more relaxed at the time of the sessions and so also work then.

Time

I remember starting around 8:30 pm. but this photo was taken around the golden hour it was 9:15pm, to get that yellow color of natural light. I did it on august 5, 2020

Lighting

try to take advantage of natural light with a reflector. I use a small and comfortable one to transport me to my session.

Equipment

This was shot on a sony A72 with a objective 28-70 mm/f 3.5-5.6 lens

Inspiration

I´m always looking at the work of great photographer, I was looking for combination of the light that is in the golden hour with the dress.

Editing

Use photoshop for a facial cleansing a skin filter and smoothing, then use raw camera filte, to enhance the colors

In my camera bag

The first thing I always pack is my sony 28-70mm, since it is the one I use the most. I also pack a 35mm 1.8/FE for ever closer portraits and a 70-200mm that I use for moments that require greater distance.

Before it's golden hour take multiple photos in manual mode to and thus get the shot you are looking for.
