Location
This photo was taken on the North Abutment boat ramp at Arkabutla Lake.Time
It was around 10pm. I had initially been photographing the moon over the water, when I decided to turn around and try the stars.Lighting
Given the full moon that night, I didn't need to crank up the ISO too much, to get the tree exposed.Equipment
I shot this with my Canon Rebel t4i, on a tripod. The lens was a Canon 50mm f/1.8 prime lens. I used my wireless trigger to reduce camera shake.Inspiration
It was my first time shooting at night, and I hadn't gotten many shots. I had decided to go to the lake and shoot the moon over the water. After a few shots, I decided to try the stars.Editing
Just a little noise reduction. In my camera bag
I generally take my Canon 50mm f/1.8 prime, Canon 18-55mm, and Tamron 18-200mm lenses, with an assortment of filters, and spare batteries, as well as my wireless remote trigger.Feedback
Don't be afraid to crank up the ISO to get more stars, and definately use a tripod.
