It seems that every summer those who live in Hobart must put up with a whole lot of haze from bushfire smoke. Often the bush fires are not burning anywhere near Hobart, but the prevailing winds mean that the smoke blows over our way, leading to some striking sunsets. I thought it was interesting that at sunset (the gloaming) there was a yacht called Gloaming, beautifully lined up with the sun.
