It seems that every summer those who live in Hobart must put up with a whole lot of haze from bushfire smoke. Often the bush fires are not burning anywhere near Hobart, but the prevailing winds mean that the smoke blows over our way and we can get very hazy conditions for a couple of weeks. This can lead to some very striking sunsets.
