A fledgling swallow, still not quite able to catch enough on the wing to sustain itself, gets occasional meals from mum and dad.

A pair of swallows has been nesting in the eaves of my house for the last five years. It's that time of year when the fledgling swallows start to emerge and try out flying for the first time, with mixed results!

Fortunately, the swallows are used to me snapping away by now, and just get on with their business.
